Our first class offerings are listed below.
Intro to Pottery Wheel - 4 weeks, 2 hours per week + studio access
This 4-week beginner-friendly course introduces foundational wheel-throwing techniques, including centering, opening, and pulling clay to create basic forms like cups, bowls, and plates.
- 8 hours of guided instruction + 25 lbs. of clay
- Open Studio access at Denver Pottery Studio throughout the course
- All tools, supplies, glaze, clay bodies included
- We'll cover the basics of surface decoration and glazing methods and you'll finish the course with your first ceramic pieces
- Offered most weekday evenings and begins at the start of every month
Intermediate Pottery Wheel, 4 weeks, 2 hours per week + studio access
Designed for those with some wheel-throwing experience, this intermediate course focuses on refining skills and exploring more complex forms and techniques on the pottery wheel. We'll learn to center more clay, pull larger cylindrical forms and throw bigger serving bowls.

- Open Studio access throughout the course
- All tools, supplies, glaze, clay bodies included
- We'll cover an introduction to handles and lids, surface decoration, glazing techniques, and opportunities for individual project development.
One-Time, One-Day Class
Get a taste of the pottery wheel with a 2.5 hour standalone intro class. We'll guide you through the basics of wheel throwing and you'll have a completed bowl or mug (or both!) by the end of class. You can come back again to glaze your finished work or we can glaze it for you.
