FAQ: Studio Membership

Frequently Asked Questions: Pottery Studio Membership

I bought a membership—what's next?

Welcome! We'll reach out to you individually by email and phone to schedule a tour of the studio that includes a brief orientation (20 minutes), your shelf, and your key code number. You can come to the studio today, or any time that suits your schedule. We also hold weekly tours of our studio every Saturday at 12:00pm. Come by today or this coming Saturday. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at Denver Pottery Studio.

Are clay and glaze included in membership?

Denver Pottery Studio provides 8 or more rotating glazes for member-use only, included in membership. We also have an array of glazes available for sale online and in-studio.

Clay bodies are also available for purchase at the studio front desk.

Bats, tools, and sponges are also available for purchase online or in the studio.

Place your orders for more clay, glazes, and tools online in our Tool & Supply section and we'll have them ready for you to pickup at the studio's front desk.

When will my membership be renewed? Can I pause my membership?

Renewal dates occur on the same numerical date that the purchase occurred. For example, if a member bought a membership on November 15th, the member will be automatically charged on the 15th day of the following months.

Unfortunately, due to studio size limits, we are unable to temporarily pause memberships.

Can I bring outside glazes and clay bodies to the studio?

Due to firing and kiln concerns, we require all clay to be supplied by Denver Pottery Studio. We do not allow outside clay bodies or glazes. We sell many types and brands of clay bodies at our studio location at the same price (or lower) as many local distributors.

Can I get more shelf space?

Please let us know by email or in person if you would like additional shelf space or a 7-tier cart: info@denverpotterystudio.com

  • Top shelves (with no height restriction) are an additional $10/month.
  • A second 12" x 48" x 18" shelf is an additional $30/month (total of $170/month).
  • If you would like your own 7-tier rolling cart shelf to store your work, these carts are available for an additional $50/month (total of $190).
